Opportunities and Announcements: Week of April 21, 2014

The people have spoken, and with 67% of the vote, Mud Season Review will be the name of the literary journal produced by members of the Burlington Writers Workshop. If you’re interested in serving on the staff of the journal, please apply here.

Here are the opportunities and announcements for this week.

If you’re looking to write about a performance at the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival, please let me know. We may have some free tickets available for you.

We’re looking for an ebook designer for The Best of the Burlington Writers Workshop 2014. If you have experience with turning an Adobe InDesign document into a .mobi file for Amazon, please contact us.

BWW member Luc Reid is organizing Cricket Mountain writing retreat in June. More information, including costs and accommodation details, are here.

Author Mike Bond will be discussing the illegal ivory trade tomorrow, April 22 at Fletcher Free Library. More information is here.

Editors of The Best of the Burlington Writers Workshop 2014 will read at Phoenix Books on Thursday, May 1, 2014. Join us then, too!

New members are welcome to attend our meeting on Tuesday, April 29th, but please do read this description of how the workshop operates. It can be tricky for new folks, so please do read the whole thing!
